Donor Recognition

Although the decision to be recognized publicly for one’s generosity is a personal choice for each donor, many of our donors welcome this acknowledgment with hope that others will follow their example.

  

The Foundation proudly recognizes our donors in The Margery S. and Charles J. Rothschild, Jr. Recognition Gallery, an area dedicated to the individuals, families, corporations, and foundations who have supported Hackensack University Medical Center over the years, and who continue to support us now. The gallery features an airy, open atmosphere, with seating and art gallery lighting. Located in a prominent area next to the concierge area of the main lobby, visitors often stroll through this space of quiet grace and elegance, and the gallery is often used for private Medical Center receptions.

Sustaining Benefactors, Legacy Society and Annual Fund donors contributing $1,000 or more are acknowledged in the Rothschild Gallery.

Donors who support the medical center with a planned gift automatically become members of the Foundation’s Legacy Society and, with the donor's permission, their names are permanently featured in a special section of the Rothschild Gallery. Those who make more than one donation to the Planned Giving Program join our Legacy Society Chairman’s Circle, and their names are permanently featured in the Chairman's Circle section of the Rothschild Gallery. All members will receive a semi-annual Foundation newsletter that keeps them informed on a variety of subjects. Sustaining Benefactors

This level of recognition is for donors whose life-time generosity is $25,000 or more.  Contributions at this level inspire and sustain compassionate excellence at the Medical Center well beyond the standards of modern health care.  Benefactors are acknowledged in one of six levels from $25,000 to more than $10,000,000 in the Margery S. and Charles J. Rothschild, Jr. Recognition Gallery in perpetuity.

Annual Fund

Donors who make an annual contribution of $1,000 or more are recognized in one of the following three levels:

1888 Associates* for annual gifts of $10,000 or more – recognizes leadership donors whose annual support serves as both an inspiration and example in the furtherance of the Medical Center’s health care mission, which began in 1888.

St. John Fellowship* for annual gifts of $5,000 or more – recognizes benevolent donors whose annual support serves to acknowledge Dr. David St. John, the community leader and physician, whose time, money and labor helped to establish the Medical Center.

Conklin Alliance* for annual gifts of $1,000 or more – recognizes generous donors whose annual support serves to acknowledge Mary Stone Conklin, whose 47 years of administrative leadership guided the Medical Center from its infancy to the modern era.

*The donors at these various levels are recognized in the Margery S. and Charles J. Rothschild, Jr. Recognition Gallery for a period of one year.
